Jane says she was in Iran in in 1979, and as if by some strange coincidence, the population rose up and held a revolution. Just her bad luck! Still, it led to several memorable moments in those tense months of overthrowing governments. This is one of them.
Mike looks sceptical at this tall tale.
For more than 10 years The Jane and Mike Band showed up at their local summer Festival and sent a trilogy of songs sweeping out into the parkland, but Covid put a stop to all that. For 2 years there’s been no Festival, no singing, no sideshows, no animals, no stalls or entertainers.
Well, it’s 2022 and the summer Festival is back – but in a new form. Less entertainment, smaller scale. That means less of everything. As they say, ‘The show must go on’, but this year, Jane and Mike are a ‘No Show’. (We haven’t been invited!)
